EmCee Update: My dog ran away a couple of weeks ago [More:]

and I'm sad, which is why the emcee isn't done yet. I've been feeling blah lately. Sorry about that. I'm going to take all the panels and make sure they line up tonight, and if they do, I'll email the pieces to taz, who's the one who makes sure they get posted to the emcee pages.
Oh I'm so so so so so sorry :-( ::hugs::

Oh, I'm sorry iconomy. That sucks big time.

(((iconomy))) I hope you get your dog back soon. My friend's dog ran away during some fireworks, and she got her back 3 months later, long after she'd given up hope.

Oh that sucks! I remember when my kittie ran away for an entire summer while I was in high school. The day it returned, half-feral and smelly, was one of the happiest days of my childhood.

That's rough, iconomy: I know how upset I'd be if our dog went walkabout. Here's wishing for a happy homecoming soon.

That really sucks... good luck. I'd be gutted if ours took off.

Awww shoot. Sorry iconomy; hope the little pup turns up soon!

Thanks, guys. We're still hoping for the best. He does have tags on, so someone could call at any time. Once a few years back he got out and was happily ambling down the street and a woman picked him up and kept him for almost a week - he is *very* cute if I do say so myself. He does really cute and endearing things all the time. She called me one night at midnight and confessed to taking him. She appeared at my door an hour later with my dog and 2 crying little boys that begged me to let them keep him. Geez. I felt like crap.

Sorry to hear that, iconomy.

Hope your dog comes back and you cheer up.

Louise my German Shepherd ran away 20 years ago. I still have dreams about her.

Oh man, who cares about emcee! Focus on the dog!

(I hope he comes home, ico.)

Aw, ico. I'm so sorry. He's probably out having a series of Benji-like adventures. He'll be home when he's done.

My family once found (literally, wandering and uncollared), vetted, fell in love with, and then returned to scummy former owners under legal duress, a dog that we then later got back. Months later. When he was found wandering near Mt. Hood. There were no vet records for him except the ones on file from when we first got him.

These things often end sadly, but now and then there are those absurd happy endings.

Regardless, thinking of you, ico. Emcee is no big thang; we'll see it when we see it.

Thank you again, everyone. I feel more optimistic after reading this, whatever happens.

You mentioned it when i lost my Bees. It's only been in the last couple weeks kitties didn't make me all weepy. Dognapping sounds weird but i've heard of it happening before, with returns.
It's just so awful all around.
Feel better.

When our dog ran away when I was little, I went riding around the neighborhood calling his name. All then neighbor kids gave me stupid looks.

Another dog I had would run away, but then be back a few hours later waiting at the front door.

Here's hoping your dog comes back.

Hoping for a happy ending, here. Do vets do the microchip thing over there with pets? It's pretty common here and there have been a number of stories where people have got their pet back a couple of years after losing it, because it ran away again from wherever it had found a new home and, when they scan it, the chip brings up the original owner's details. Happy endings do happen.
