Chicago Folks? Anyone going to the Chemical Brothers/Ladytron show Sep 24 at the Riv?

The Kaiser Chiefs are also playing the 24th and Metric is on the 25th and New Model Army is back on the 29th. Actually, September has way too many shows and I'm trying to allocate resources by figuring out which shows I won't have to go to alone!

4700-odd N Racine, one of the old movie palaces turned into a live music venue. Like the Vic and Metro, it's a midsized concert venue, general admission, mostly indie and hipster bands, but clearly, some of us older freaks still like what plays there. I saw Diamanda Galas when she toured with John Paul Jones (I think, that actually might have been the Vic) and the last Banshees tour there, a million years ago.

It doesn't have a website, per se, but you can see upcoming shows and buy tickets here.

O! Thanks for the heads up on New Model Army - I've always wanted to see them, and it looks like they will be in Portland too. Now all I have to do is find someone to go with myself :)

OMG I loved the Riv. Crush, I'm willing to bet you and I were at the same Banshees show, yes, a million years ago.

I spent much much time at the Riv, Vic, and Metro. Great memories . . .

Damn, I totally forgot about the earlier New Model Army show; I'll have to try for the second one.

I'm not going to the Chemical Brothers show, but have fun!
