Does peppermint old remind you of old lady smell? Yeah, I know this is a weird question. But This question makes me want to try Dr. Bronner's pepp. shampoo and balm. Oh, the minty goodness! But[More:] peppermint oil reminds me of the grandmother from Disney's (terribly inaccurate yet still entertaining) Anastasia. Yeah, I know I'm a nut-case.
Peppermint Dr. Bronner's liquid soap reminds me of being twenty and in a LTR with a beautiful woman who worked in a health food store. More specifically, it reminds me of our first apartment together, although that's not a happy association because of our violent, alcoholic, redneck neighbors.

So, no.

oh, i love love love love LOVE dr. bronner's peppermint soap! on a hot day, there's nothing like taking a nice cool shower and feeling that nice cold burn as you lather up with this stuff.

plus the big bottles are better bathroom reading than readers digest.

Old people smell like bread. What's the matter with you?

I soap up with the Dr. every day. Well, I do lay off it a bit in the winter as my skin gets really dry anyway, but I lurv me some Dr. Bronner's. My nephew (who is my polar opposite in many ways - just got out of prison, can't hold down a job, etc.) tried it one time when he was visiting and remarked "my balls were on fire!"

And if you haven't seen the recent documentary - Dr. Bronner's Magical Soapbox - I highly recommend it.

I like the Doctor's kinder, gentler lavender soap. My son swears by peppermint, which is why there are not one but two large bottles of Dr. Bronner's finest in our bathroom. The peppermint is a bit too tingly for me on certain tingly bits but the lavender is divine.

Oh, and old people smell like mothballs and bleach.

The Doc is my soap too(though the almond has something to be said for it as well). I never think of peppermint as old lady smell - baby powder, hairspray, yes. Doc, no. To me it smells like backpacking trips in the Appalachians and I agree with syntax about the refreshing minty sensation on a hot day.

Disclaimer: I like peppermint everything: peppermint tea, chocolate chip mint ice cream, peppermint sticks, fresh mint, mint jelly. Mintiness may or may not be your thing.

I keep intending (and keep forgetting) to pick up a bottle of Doc Bronner, either mint or lavender. Maybe today I'll remember.

Mint smells refreshing. Mint soap smells like no particular demographic group, except squeaky-clean hippies.

Old people smell like whiskey and liniment*. Except me. I smell like almond cake and old books. Who decides what constitutes "old," anyway?

*No, just my great-uncle. Not the funny one, who smells of ink and soap. The other one.

Old people smell like mothballs and lavender and ivory soap.

I have a bar of the good Dr's peppermint soap just waiting until that persistant lemon verbena is used up.

So no, it does not remind me of an old lady smell.
