TPS Report for TPS, Please!→[More:]aka Three Point Status for ThePinkSuperhero, weeeeee!
2. I just had a big coffee, so I'll be racing around going WOO!* pretty soon.
3. This afternoon, I go play with my niece and nephew visiting (with my sister and BIL) from Montana! Then big family dinner, and cake, 'cause it's my birthday --- WOO!
1. Throat and chest sore from coughing, but I'm just about better again, except my taste buds are dead. Even occhiblu's broccoli arrabiata tasted of nothing last night.
2. I have surveyors coming tomorrow to look at the subsidence to the building but the insurers have messed up because in their reports they have monitored only one minor crack at the side of the building and not the big one at the rear so I think it's back to square one and more monitoring.
3. I had a good day at work today, I uncovered a fraud by a mortgage broker that will cost his employers almost £100,000 to put right.
1. 103 degrees F. out there and it's supposed to get to 105.
2. I have a ton to do and two and a half hours to do it.
3. I'm probably not part Greek after all. The family story is more outrageous than a soap opera. Particularly since the outrageousness is set in the late '30s.
There possibly go all my free cups of coffee at all the greek restaurants.
1. I went to the opera last night (WAGNER!) but I am sleepy.
2. I have a free piece of chocolate cake on my desk that I'm saving for after lunch.
3. I GOTS ME A BOYFRIEND!
1. TheDude and I put in an application for his "dream house," which is now free of flies and dead birds.
2. We ended up giving the rental company a personal check for the security deposit, since the application included a blurb about it. Only a little bit shady.
3. Procrastinating on work that I. Must. Finish. Today!
Confidential to matildaben: CUTE! Him and MyDude have the same beard...
1. Despite flooded roads and all that stormin' in the Northeast business I made it to the Northwest.
2. Waiting for my bass to come in from UPS, and my band to get in touch about a practice before our shows.
3. Hatin' on aol even more than usual: wasted hours troubleshooting why I couldn't login to my email or here. Fixed it!
1. It is gorgeous outside!
2. I finally got a bike computer and am making minor adjustments to the bike.
3. Going on a ride with a friend on one of the bike trails I painstakingly transposed into Google Earth, sometime after 5. Woo!
1. Picked up new glasses! Bunnies so clear!
2. Watching tennis. Tournament in Montreal. Nadal and Hewitt in two separate round of 16 matches. Battle royal both. I'm gettin' a crick in my neck.
3. Makin' london broil with a coriander rub and some taters for supper. Maybe watch Little Children later, if my better half's willin'. The book was excellent.
(Yay matildaben! Looks like a cool dude. And the only thing better than cake is free cake. Enjoy both! ; )
1. Making a cake tonight. Haven't yet decided what kind of cake. Hmmm. Lemon, or chocolate? Or both? Or angelfood? Or, hey, maybe cheesecake?
2. Liking new boss! Don't have to work tomorrow after all! Get to take all comp time accumulated! Yay!
3. Can tell have PMS since just went from jubilation to near tears for no apparent reason in approximately 12 seconds. Eeesh.
fantastico matildaben! y'all are so cute together!
1) Why how cuz I can only get ValuTyme brand lemon creme sandwich cookies around here? Why did fucking Keebler stop making Opera Creams? Was I the only person who loved them? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?
2) In 24 hours I'm on vacation. Can't wait. A few days in Pittsburgh visiting the folks, and then a few days of doin' nothin'.
3) So close to the point where I can say "I've lost 15 pounds this year!" and not be fudging things an insy-weensy bit.
BTW Mats: thanks for recommending Petzold's Code in some AskMe a few weeks ago. I picked up a copy and have been really (if slowly) enjoying it.
(Our cycles seem to be synchronized, mygoth; they say it happens in tribes, work environments, and dorms. Maybe in online communities too? And all this talk of cake is torture, I tell you, torture. I'm trying to shrink my hump.)
1. My roommate asked me to write her a character reference for her new apartment. I wonder if she thinks this counts as her thirty-days notice?
2. I am so not looking forward to going through the whole roommate search thing again. Anybody looking for an apartment in Boston-area or know someone who is?
3. I got to build things with Meccano/Erector sets for work today!
Happy birthday Miko! 30 already - time flies, huh?
1. Friday! Yay!!
2. One more week and then I have two weeks holiday!
3. After two weeks holiday, I come back to a 3-month stint as Assistant Manager! Less work, more money, yay!!
4. After three month stint as Assistant Manager, two months leave! Yafuckinghoo!
yeah, I know that was four, but I just couldn't help myself.
1. Spent the day in the pool with the kiddos. Mr. Baby loves to swim. He just smiles and smiles and kicks and kicks his pudgy little legs. So cute!
2. The weight continues to come off everywhere but my gut.
3. Still going through some heavy stuff. But I'll get through it because I am one tough, hard-headed bitch.
1. back home from New Jersey. ALL TURNS HERE.
2. WHERE?
3. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND? My hotel is just on the left, why do I have to drive 5 minutes around an imaginary football stadium, a mall and 3 cow fields so that I do not interfere with what everyone else would call a minor street traffic? You bet it's a good thing there is a two lane wall divide.
1) Why how cuz I can only get ValuTyme brand lemon creme sandwich cookies around here? Why did fucking Keebler stop making Opera Creams? Was I the only person who loved them? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?
My mum calls that the "Product Kiss of Death". You find something you like, you learn to love it and POOF! it's gone forever.
Very relieved to have been able to get away from NYC for a while.
Didn't realize my digital camera was broken until I tried to take a picture of Edith Wharton's house.
The local blueberries are amazing.
