My son comes back from 3 weeks with his dad and says again that he wants to go live there. This is NOT an option and causes me grief on how to explain it to my boy. And then deal with his dad.

My daughter comes back from the same 3 weeks absolutely full of head lice. UGH! (I live in a place where it's a problem, but I can get rid of the little bastards. I have mad lice-killing skillz.)

The end of the summer here is always difficult. My apartment complex turns into some "Lord of the Flies" type thing, it's hot and humid, and BS abounds. So, I generally agree that more time with dad is an ok thing. Until they come back.

Sigh. Thanks for letting me vent. Sorry I've been a downer at times in IRC.

I just want to survive the next 2 weeks and get all of us back into our usual rhythm.
