I really thought it would grow on me... it just hasn't. I can discuss it if I need to, but to me all the money has spoiled football. Chelsea and Man U are both so rich... I don't give a fuck about either of them. I want to see an underdog win, but there AREN'T ANY.

I actually watch less football now than ever.

p.s. When the really, really big matches are on, I go do things that would normally be really crowded ;-) It's kind of like having Disneyland all to yourself.

NFL preseason starts this evening as well. YAY!

Heh, yeah. I try to do shopping, get my hair cut and stuff when the big matches are on. Town is generally much quieter.

I assume that some sort of Irish team was playing yesterday? Ikkyu and I were outside and three guys came up asking for directions to the local scarily-Irish pub, and the guys' accents were so thick that I began to suspect English was a second language and they'd be happier if I could dig up the terms for "right" and "left" in Gaelic.

My first thought was, "Ahhh, must be soccer season again."

No, the two biggest English teams played...

Weird.

Maybe these guys were going to start a rumble. They looked like rumblers.

Nah, they probably just wanted to watch the match. No matter where a football fan hails from in the British Isles, they'd want to see Man U vs Chelsea... they're the two best teams in the land.
