How was your sleep? I assume that most of you -- in my time zone and its neighbors -- are getting out of bed around now. [More:]

So how did you sleep last night? Fitfully? Tossing-and-turning? Peacefully?

How did you feel upon awakening? Refreshed? Exhausted?
I slept like the proverbial log for about ten hours. I woke up feeling lousy but that was because I had a cold. Once I started moving, I felt like a human being again.

I don't even remember falling asleep last night. I fell asleep with the light on and did not wake up until Binky started whining at me this morning at 6:04am. (Which was too early for my liking but better than the 5:15ish of the past few days.) After I acknowledged his existence he stopped whining and let me be until 6:40 - at which point I gathered both dogs and took them for a 2.5 mile walk. I guess it must have been a pretty fitful sleep since I don't remember falling asleep or uh sleeping at all until the dog woke me up. haha.

I'm thinking about taking a nap this afternoon.

I fell asleep with my head at the foot end of the bed, while we watched a movie. I vaguely recall announcing , when my partner started to bed down upside-down next to me, that I'd flip head-to-foot so "we won't be like Pippi Longstocking," and evidently I did, because I woke with my head on the pillow.

Then I couldn't find my glasses. I reached out my hand, didn't encounter them, felt around a moment, then sat thinking. It was no good to look: my sight's so bad that I cannot find my glasses without my glasses.

Then I realized I took them off at the other end of the bed. Sure enough, there they were. The End.

I slept pretty peacefully last night. I most always sleep peacefully and never have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Knock on wood. If I do have troubles, I count from 99 to 1 and usually fall asleep somewhere in the seventies.

Before bed and after hosting a dinner for my inlaws, I watched the movie, The Celebration on the Sundance channel. It was a disturbing tale. I replayed it in my mind for a little bit before falling asleep, so it took longer than usual.

Been up for eight hours... cleaning the house and preparing for guests.

I slept ok, dosed up on Pholcodeine for a damned chest infection. My sleep's usually dreamless, but the unaccustomed drugs in my system gave me a weird dream where I was trying (and failing) to write a note to warn somebody of the dangers of going out and leaving a downstairs window wide open.

I drank about 6 litres of water yesterday and got up at 7am, peed like a shire horse, went back to bed and slept until 10am. It's only just after 5pm here but I'm thinking of going back to bed, I'm feeling a bit rough.

*shakes fist at bronchia*

I have been having lots of extremely vivid dreams lately, and last night was no exception. I wish they would stop, really.

But at least I woke up fairly early (I think about 8:40). There have been a couple of weekends recently where I slept until 11:30ish, thus wasting much of the day.

It was much shorter than expected, poorly timed and did not leave me satisfied. Now i just feel weird about it.

To the first question: terribly.
To the second question: terribly.

I echo eamon's comment....

I had one of those headaches last night. The ones that are so bad I start to wonder if I should be going to the hospital (going to hospital, for you Brits).

Weird. That's the second one in maybe, 6 months. I'm no stranger to the ol' muscular-skeletal headaches, because I carry my stress in my upper back, which usually winds its way upward. These things though, man alive.

Finally got to sleep around 4:30, and jen, wonderfully, let me sleep for ages. I'm still pretty tired though, that much pain seems to take it out of ya!

I woke up at 4 AM yesterday.

I went to sleep at 6 AM today.

I woke up at 9:45 AM today.

I've been a bit manic lately, which always messes with my sleep patterns.

I went to bed early (for me) around midnight, slept well till about 5 a.m., then woke abruptly absolutely convinced that there was something wrong with my boyfriend (he works till about 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and I was staying at my place last night rather than his, so of course I had no way of knowing if he was home safe). Finally fell back asleep after 6 and slept till shortly before 10.

Since the boy had a couple of auditions this morning, he actually had to be up around 10 or 11 himself, rather than sleeping till 1 or 2 pm (as he usually does after one of his late nights), so I got early confirmation that he is, indeed, fit as a fiddle and I was just randomly worrying for no reason at all.

As for quality of sleep, my back is sore, but not as sore as it is when I sleep at his place. We are SO getting a new, glorious, king size pillow-top bed when we move in together this fall!

I read until 3 a.m. (Secret Daughter) and slept until 11 a.m. The mister and Kaylee got up about 6 a.m. to walk and water the lawn (we're on a schedule) and were back in bed about 7:30 a.m. I didn't know they had ever been gone until I woke up at 11 and he told me. I've been up three whole hours and, although I slept okay, I'm tired and I want a nap.

We had plans to go to the AgriFair today, but I can't be arsed.

How exciting that you are moving in with your boyfriend, scody!

I slept okay last night, but I feel terrible because for a lot of the week it was too hot for me to sleep well. Also, on Tuesday one of my roommates had a seizure (she has never had them before), and I went with her to the hospital.

Is she okay, halo? It's unnerving to say the least.

i was just about to ask if the scodys were looking for a place or someone was moving.
Get the biggest baddest bestest bed you can
then plant a flag and call it your nation of two
or your fucking island.

Yep, it is exciting! We've been together for a little over two years and we've hit the point where we're both itching to have our own place. We'll both be moving -- his place is too small for two (and his crazy-ass neighbors are getting both crazier and assier), and I live with a roommate. We're hoping to find a little bungalow with a yard for the dog and a cute little patio or deck for us. (Not to mention a big enough bedroom for that huge, brand-new bed!)

ethylene: She is in the hospital and I'm not sure. The doctors are taking tests. :( Her friends are with her and I haven't heard from them yet.
