I'm not surprised. Economics was a big part of why many of my friends who could live in Canada didn't for a long time.

As of today the US dollar is worth just five cents more in Canada. I honestly have no idea if it's our dollar getting weaker, theirs getting stronger, or a mix of the two. I do know, though, that when I was in college a dollar US was almost $1.80 in Canada, and that wasn't too long ago.

It's primarily the US dollar getting weaker - purchasing Euros is noticibly more expensive compared to a year ago, too. Which sucks for us, but it's great for foreign tourists.

I'm already in! And I'd love to go for banana splits but you're too far away :^(

I still need to figure out how to find out what trips I've taken across the border since I Landed in July 2004. Once I do that I can apply to become an official Canadian.
