Given the utter lack of visible advertising in the cityscape, the women in headscarves, and what looks like a soviet-era knock off of a Fiat, I'm guessing somewhere like Albania? Macedonia? South-eastern europe.

The only other city in the Middle East of that size I can think of that would have a river of that size flowing through it would be Baghdad, where, um, I don't think you've been (and you have been, wow). So I think it's Cairo too.

I hope this is collaborative - where are 1) this one and 2) this one?
