:( feel better . . . Cold is good. Rest and pamper yourself.
[Oh! Did you keep the tooth? You know you always want to take the tooth 'cause it could be used in dark zombie rituals against you. Hair clippings too.]
Oh, do take all the drugs they will give you. I remember when I had the procedure, and thought it wouldn't be that bad. They gave me gas, and hey, cake walk. Went home to the sofa. Woke up feeling it. Called my Mom, whimpering... go get drugs, now!
Hope you feel better soon.
It's sore right now, but it was amazingly a non-event at the time. Coupla shots of novacaine, a pair of fancy pliers and boom- done.
If you're wisdom teeth are impacted, it's obviously a bigger deal than that. If you're anywhere near Dallas/Fort Worth, I would highly recommend the oral surgeon that took care of me; he did my son's wisdom teeth, three of which were impacted, and they came out in just a few minutes... and my son didn't even need the pain meds.
I was kinda scared too, but an oral surgeon is a specialist and the teeth that have been bothering you for some time are just another in a long line of pulled teeth to him. My surgeon has done so many of these that he could probably do them in his sleep. A big deal for you, a minor job for him.
At this point the novacaine has worn off so I'm kinda sore. They gave me some subscription pain meds but all I've taken so far is a couple Advils. Time for more cold stuff I think.... and maybe a little nap.
