Towel? Tickets, passes, etc? Is memory card in digital camera? Everything charged? Is routine stuff like wallet, keys, phone, shoes etc actually ready to go?
A couple magazines, or maybe some secondhand paperbacks or something, to be left in the airport, or on the plane, or, y'know, wherever, when you finish reading them.
Usually, when I go somewhere, I'm visiting somebody, and so I try to bring a little gift of some kind.
And do you still have your navel pierced? I usually try to bring some spare piercing jewelry. It doesn't take up much space, and, yeah, just in case.
You all know me very well. This list will be helpful once I stop working and start packing again.
And no, box, I don't have the belly piercing anymore- haven't had it for quite some time, almost a year now. Realized one day I wasn't wearing a ring- don't know if I took it out or if it fell out, but the hole had closed up. It had been so annoying and uncomfortable, I just let it die.
- Copies of your documents scanned into your computer, on a USB keychain drive thingy, and e-mailed to yourself
- Mosquito net
- Multipurpose sarong/pareo thing
- A pencil for the crossword in the newspaper you're going to buy in the airport, and then abandon half-done on a chair in the departure lounge for someone else to complete
