They towed the John F. Kennedy (CV-67) out of town today. Kinda sad to see Big John go so unceremoniously.

She was the last non-nuclear carrier, right? Big Diesel GE motors?

No, I see I'm wrong, and that the Kitty Hawk is still sailing. It doesn't say who built the motors.

Kitty Hawk and the John F. Kennedy were each powered by eight boilers and 4 geared steam turbines. 280,000 horsepower aggregate across the 4 main screw shafts.
