Antivirus Overkill? I concurrently run clamwin and avira antivir. Is this overkill? →[More:] I'm behind a hardware firewall most of the time at home (linksys wrt54gl running dd-wrt), and I wonder if it's just slowing me down.

I agree with chuck. Although, the same thing doesn't apply to anti-spyware software. I use two of those.

Very much so. I use AVG's free tool (and am behind a firewall) and have not to this date had a single virus or worm or any type of intrusion, unlike when I used to run McAfee.
