Anyone know anything about process mapping software? You know, for flowcharts?[More:]

I need to buy software that, as far as I know, I'll only need to use for a single project. My employer will pay for it. Microsoft Visio is the only program I know of, but I don't know if it's worth it for them to pay ~$200 for a one-off job.

This is something I'm going to have to teach myself to do, so an intuitive interface is a big plus.

Any recommendations?
For most simple charting I just use Word. From the Drawing toolbar chose Autoshapes and then Flowchart. Not robust but very simple.

Smart draw is simple and you can test drive it.

Seconding SmartDraw. It's easy to figure out. Word works, too.

Word isn't an option here -- there are too many charts that need to be done for this project. I need something with a little more of an automatic flow, and a little less of "Oh, let me put some boxes on the page and make sure that they're evenly spaced."

I'll check into SmartDraw. Thanks.
