AskMecha: One Year Anniversary celebrations. [More:]
So, last year, around this time, I married a couple of friends of mine. I was the maid of honor in their marriage, really. So now they are here in tha NY and I want to set up something really really funny and unusual for their first wedding anniversary. I want something funny, quirky and not extraordinarily expensive that they will remember afterwards and laugh... or wince. I would very much like to involve a prank.

A little about them: they live in Montreal but are Americans (with a mild Greek flavor --therefore anything Greek oriented is vehemently excluded), in their late 30s, they love food, music, dancing, drinking and they are not very (only slightly) uptight. So, naturally, I would love to challenge them on that last one.

I will be nice and make a compensating breakfast the day after, so I can be as bad bad as I want the night before. Any ideas? Help please? Speak!
oh, shit, just realized. D'oh.

Threesomes are excluded, you dirty minds!

Seriously, though, how about a bellydancing lesson?

Not to be a killjoy or anything, but just a suggestion: You might want to plan your prank/event for some night other than the actual anniversary. A couple's first anniversary is pretty special - they might actually have plans for making their own memories. Or even PLANS, if you catch my drift.
yes, I know IRFH. They have already celebrated the actual anniversary. We are close friends so I doubt they don't expect the worst. Traditionally I am required to do something for them for the anniversary, e.g. a dinner or a present and such. But it is so boring. I have no clue what to do for fun...

Ah, good. I guess I misread your post. I thought you were surprising them on their special night. In that case... ... ... ...hmm. I got nothing.
Yes sir, Captain Huggles Sir! || RING!!!!!
