Okay, so I'm using this new-fangled Google Street View thingamajig. [More:] I'm looking at New York. And I notice that several of the bridges in the city (the Verrazano-Narrows bridge, the Triborough bridge, the Throgs Neck bridge, the Brooklyn Battery tunnel) are listed as "Image no longer available." This does not apply to all bridges; the Brooklyn Bridge and the 59th St. Bridge among others are still available. Is this a bug, or some kooky "security" feature?
I'm thinking it's probably security paranoia. "If we show our bomb-able bridges on the internet, then the terrorists have won" kinda thing.

That seems to be the most likely explanation. But why would they pull some bridges, but not others?

What's with all the questions? Why do you hate freedom?

Thank god they've prevented us from viewing those bridges on the internet. Now all we need to do is make photographing them punishable by death, and we will have surely beaten the terrorists.
