New Music. More stuff that I've got recently.[More:]

The Real Tuesday Weld "The Return of the Clerkenwell Kid" - Anything but Love, At the House of the Clerkenwell Kid. Somewhat different than his first release "I, Lucifer". This'll take a few listenings to get into, for me. Some of the songs are very flowery which I'm finding hard to get around. It's all well put together, though.

"Carry, Go, Bring, Come - Treasure Isle Mod Ska Anthems 1960-1966" - Eric 'Monty' Morris - Penny Reel, Owen & Leon Silveras - Next Door Neighbour. Oh yeah. Not a bad tune on this. All first-wave ska from Jamaica on Duke Reid's label. "You has to be good to pass an audition for Duke Reid. If you was a baker and came to audition for him as a singer, and he didn't like what he heard, he'd simply tell you to go back and bake ... and it's true that if you were singing in a session and he didn't like it, he would shoot his gun and the musicians would get timid. That's why his music was so good." - Derrick Morgan

Jarvis Cocker "The Jarvis Cocker Record" - Fat Children, I Will Kill Again. Talent? Yeah, right here. Jarvis has a lovely little album with some nicely vicious lyrics.

Killing Joke "Chaos for Breakfast - The Early Singles" - Almost Red, Pssyche. The first track is from the Almost Red 12", first released in 1979. The track Pssyche is from the 7" single of Pssyche/Wardance (1980). The compilation is the releases up to 'Tension', and includes the first album, but all the demo tracks. The CD's are packaged in the original album artwork and with the original inserts. And pic's of the source art for the album covers. This was freakin' expensive, but well worth it.

You like? Want more? Let me know, or better yet, give these people your money. :)
I'd love to hear those ska tunes, but your link isn't what you think it is. I think. Otherwise, that first Jarvis track was quite nice. Thanks.

Thanks for these, Zack! I didn't know The Real Tuesday Weld had done another album. And I dig the Killing Joke songs.

That Jarvis album is just awesome! We've had it on damn near constant rotation around here ever since it came out.

Wow, you're right bmarkey. No idea how that happened.
One more time... Eric 'Monty' Morris - Penny Reel, Owen & Leon Silveras - Next Door Neighbour
