I have been playing far too much WoW but then the alternative of web surfing, tv and knitting isn't appealing either. I've been diving with a club run from the army base and they are a super bunch of people and wish I had the money to do it more often. The lab is going, neither good nor bad so that's something and at least the microscope is fixed, hopefully forever now. My parent's went on a vacation so I was required to housesit and am now finally back in my own apartment. Feels weird but good. And I think I've finally figured out why my hydro bills are so high and am working to test my theory. I hope I'm right because I'm tired of paying insane utility bills.

Hey eliz, my car died! Suddenly I am in the throes of getting another one. This is a new thing for me and it keeps rapidly alternating between incomprehensible and wildly entertaining. Which I guess functions pretty well as a sampling of my life in general.

Hi elizard! We just got back from grocery shopping. Stocked up on all kinds of goodies, including roast beef, provolone, and prosciutto (God, I love prosciutto!) at the Mom & Pop Italian store, and some yummy pear cider. It's been seventh level of hell hot here, too, the last few days. It's about to pour, though, so maybe it'll cool things down. Jon's enjoying the porch with his music and beer. I prefer the comfort of the air conditioning myself, for the time being. I've got pork chops on the menu for tonight, along with some sweet potatoes and the zuchini dish someone mentioned in a thread the other day (sauteed with butter, salt, pepper, and nutmeg). It's lovely having the summer off, with time to cook and read and stay up late watching movies. Been writing a little, but not enough. I'm a very lazy girl. Good to hear from you, though! We were just looking at Vegas pictures this morning. I'd love to go to Vegas again, but other things, like clothes and food, take priority right now. Someday soon. No biggie. I can be a spoiled brat when I want something. Anyways, enjoy the new kitty! And don't be a stranger...
