I don't get it.

So you're saying Destro was in charge over at Cobra HQ, as Cheney is at the White House? I always felt a bit of pathos for Destro, what with his horribly disfigured face or rightful but denied reign of France or space-alien birth or whatever it was that forced him to wear the iron mask. But wasn't CobraCom in charge? Our C-in-C certainly isn't; the situation reads like a tragicomedy, fool cast as king, with the injection of Iago, evil for evil's sake, as VP. GI Joe never seemed quite like that; I even felt frequent pity for the bumbling enemy.

I think these guys might be more like Hordak and Skeletor.

If Destro ever shot one of his hunting buddies, or perhaps ran the dude over with that little tank, the guy wouldn't be on teevee apologizing--he'd be pushing up daisies.

I can see Cheney as Destro, but Bush as Cobra Commander? No. Bush doesn't have the intelligence or leadership abilities of a Cobra Commander.

I don't know about that, poppo. They did, in GI Joe: the Movie, oust Cobra Commander for his poor decision making skills in favour of Serpentor. And does this make Condi the Baroness?

All I want to know is: who is Dr. Mindbender?

(Well, okay, so it wasn't for Cobra Commander's poor decision making skills so much as Destro and the Baroness felt that Cobra Commander wasn't ambitious enough. I think that's what it was, anyway. I've got a copy of the movie around here, somewhere.)

I try not to waste any breath or brain cells on either of those two assholes. They don't even deserve to be made fun of anymore. /crabby
