Neighbors to the north, hello! My one mundane nugget of Canadiana:
I flew Air Canada on the way to Europe once and was a little perturbed at having to sit through the commercials on the in-flight CBC broadcast twice, but the blankets were warm, the seat was comfy, our wings were de-iced quickly for an on-time departure, and my seat mate was jovial for the first hour or two, telling me all about her grandkids, and then she promptly fell asleep and looked cherubic. On returning, the US immigration agent in the Toronto airport welcomed me home with a beaming smile, which I attribute to her not being a resident of the United States. I was very satisfied - nice work all around, Canadians.
