Go see Ratatouille Now. Hurry up, you might still be able to catch the late showing![More:] We saw it tonight. What a great flick! And now we're home eating a raspberry blueberry pie I made from SCRATCH (even the crust, go me go me). Pictures of the pie I'm very proud of will be posted on Flickr at some point, lol.
It's not on here, yet. There's a slight delay.

I can't see it either but I'm hearing good things about it.

95% on RT: best-reviewed major release of 2007 / return to form for Pixar

(I hated Cars)

Husband is bringing the kids to see it on Monday. I'll be working. Maybe I should ask him to wait for Tuesday when I'll be home.

Cars was OK (anything with Paul Newman in it can't be all bad) but this looks many times better. I'm going to see it on Tuesday for my birthday.

I saw this with my date yesterday. Good movie. Good soundtrack. All in all, a good day.

Hey, TPS, I've been baking a blueberry/blackberry pie every Sunday for the last four months, assiduously tweaking my recipe in search of perfection. We should compare notes someday. I've got the filling down, crust needs a lot of work.

One secret ingredient is about a half cup of dried blueberries, gives some nice body.

I haven't seen it, but I plan to eventually. I did hear a snippit of The Cat Empire's tune "Hello, Hello" in an ad for the movie. Is that used in the soundtrack? If so, I'd bet they use it without the words, which are not PG.

Alright, now that I've heard good things from people I'll probably go see it this week.

Mrs Slack has been telling me that she wants to see this, but I was less than enthused. But I finally saw the theatrical trailer and it looks really good. I'm glad to see some thumbs ups here, I'll move it up in the priority list.

Wow, you go, StickyCarpet! This was my first ever time baking a pie- all in all it went pretty well. The crust was a little flour-y and the filling was more liquid than I would have liked, but it still tasted pretty good!

I'll see it next Monday, when I can use the AAA coupon.

I've been a little excited about this. The early clips I saw were fantastic. I don't hold that animation breakthroughs automatically equal good cinema, but Brad Bird has been on my worship list ever since The Iron Giant; he knows how to tell a story -- what to put in, and even more important at times, what to leave out.

As for Cars, I will only say that having a Porsche voiced by Bonnie Hunt (and the sexiest animated rear since Lara Croft) should be illegal.

Saw it last night and it's great - wonderful story, fantastic action sequences, aimed at least as much at adults as at kids (hell, probably more). Happy to read it made almost $50 million in its first weekend. Brad Bird's really pointing the way to a revived animation genre; we can only hope other filmmakers/bankrollers are paying attention.
