Alli diet pill I bought some. I'm taking them. I've given in to the weight-loss and drug marketing machine.→[More:]
I heard a commentator state on NPR that Alli will probably make Americans even fatter. Yikes.
Good luck. My doctor put me on it in November and quite frankly, the side effects are worse then problem being cured. Do not think it is a get out of jail free card for eating fatty foods. Even moderate amounts fat will put you on the toilet for a bit. Also, the "sudden need to go" is quite sudden and quite powerful. You'll need to be in close proximity to a toilet most of the time. Sorry for the gory details and I hope it works for you.
dr_negative - I'm assuming that the "grossness" is part of the reason why it's effective - after a while, people start to associate fatty foods with...intestinal unpleasantness
I have a stomach of steel. I haven't noticed any side-effects. I've been taking it for three days, but not for every meal, since some of my meals, especially breakfast contain little to no fat. The meal should be contain low to moderate fat in order for the pill to be effective. Very low-fat or very high-fat diets (Atkins) won't mix well with Alli. Little to no fat and you don't need Alli. A very fatty meal produces all kinds of yuck side-effects.
I have a redundant colon, so constipation is already a problem for me. It takes a lot to shit my pants. Sometimes I wish I could shit my pants. Sorry if this is too much information.
