I moved! My new place is a 20-second walk from the Vegas Strip, right across from the Stratosphere and 2 minutes from the Sahara. It's your usual Vegas weekly rental (iow, a slum), but hey, it's cheap. Besides, over the last 6 months, I have averaged $130 a week in poker winnings. Not much, but it's better than losing. heheh
Woo hoo!

Cool! Hey, is the Algiers hotel still there? Should be just a block or two down the strip, has a great neon sign.

Also, when you win some more have a drink at the Peppermill lounge or whatever it's called. It's so "love american style".

Right across from the stratosphere?

Are you in the Del Mar Resort Motel, where rooms rent by the hour and the porn is free?

Yay! I love having moved! (The act of moving, not so much.) Everything feels new and fresh and full of possibility.

Enjoy!

Hey, I go by there all the time. We should meet for Luv-it frozen custard sometime. They have frozen bananas which should be heart healthy!

That's also walking distance to Olympic Gardens.

$130 a week in poker winnings... not bad. Not bad at all. My father used to pay the rent with poker winnings, once upon a time. I have this fantasy that I could do the same with Black Jack (let a girl win a few hands, and it's all over).

Who needs a fancy apartment when you have the Strip at your doorstep?

Oh, I think I know the area. I got kinda lost around there once (yes, I do get VERY easily lost, even with gigantic landmarks nearby) and it seemed a little sketchy, but it had its charm. And I spent all night riding the reverse bungee until I started to worry about the cumulative effects of it on my circulatory system. If I lived near there, I think I'd have a hard time not doing that every day.
