Um, what? Is this like confession where we don't need to know what your transgression was but we're supposed to tell you to say a bunch of Hail Marys or something and it'll be fine? I'm not Catholic so I'm not 100% sure of the procedure here.

You don't really need to apologize. You posted a question, it was deleted. Now yer s'posed to apologize? For what? Having been deleted? Offending the people who had no answer but "this sucks" to go with their itchy flag fingers?

chuck, if you really want a discussion, repost your question here. Somebunny can indicate in the MeTa thread that the discussion has moved over here.

I don't know what the admins at MeFi think of that, but it's been done before.

We pretty much have no problem with that. Metachat can do whatever it likes, and a friendly link in a relevant Metatalk thread is no crime.
