Also, what the article doesn't mention, is some smaller cities deliberately hold their Pride celebrations on different dates than the larger cities do, so locals can attend their hometown Pride and still make it to the big parade in their nearest big city. Hence the "it's Pride this weekend" thing.

yay, happy Pride, everyone!

The first Pride parade I ever went to was NYC in the early '90s. It was right around the time of one of Dan Quayle's famous moments of idiocy, as commemmorated by the float of a dozen fabulous drag queens chanting "We're here! We're queer! And we can spell potato!" Ah, good times.

Ah yes, some German cotquean tried to make a grab at me last night.....and this is not the first time this has happened. Gay people have the right to live where they please, work where they please, get married and raise kids if they please. THEY DO NOT FUCKING HAVE THE RIGHT TO DENY OTHERS THEIR RIGHT TO BE LEFT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Belated Pride Day!

Sorry for not posting sooner, but I was recovering from a Friday night party where I was rampantly kissing all the gals (and a few of the guys; no tongue in either case, the fella wouldn't have approved). Mostly on the cheek. The FACE cheek, you dirty minded bunnies!

(Why, yes, there was tequila involved. Why do you ask? It's sure better than being fighting drunk.)
