Vibes needed! Tonight is my first date with a guy who I've been talking with for a few weeks.→[More:] We met on Craigslist and have been making plans to meet up, but things keep coming up and I keep having to cancel. Tonight we're supposed to go out for drinks and this is my first real date in...well, years and OMG, I'm nervous!

Heh. I just had my first date in years (occasional friend-sex things in the intervening years I don't count as "dates"). It was with someone I've been acquainted with for the last few months in a local meetup group. After I got back from my trip, mutual interest was mutually expressed. I was nervous but it went really well - very low-key, just chatting, nothing too "vibe-y" yet but we're taking it slow. We're going to see each other in the group Saturday and probably again next Thursday, but we are going to have another one-on-one date in between there somewhere.

Anyway, I don't have much to offer you except "you're not the only one".
