Do you know who this? She's American, in the entertainment biz. TPS, you might already know this. She just looks so different that I find it hard to believe it's who they say it is.
Yes, it's Janeane! (hah danf...she's much cuter than I am) I don't think I've ever seen her look happy before (i've never seen her all smiley smiley like that), and she's really slimmed down and of course, the hair. I still can't believe it's her. Supposedly the photo's from 2003, so I don't know what she currently looks like. Here's another from the same day:
I thought it was wild that someone I've seen a million times could look so different that I didn't even recognize them. Love her. The Truth About Cats and Dogs is one of my favorite chick flicks - seen it a million times. It started my huge crush on Ben Chaplin.
so, does she have a parasite or something? because i always perceived jaenene garafolo as someone who really didn't give a shit about her body image. she never really struck me as the power-workout drastic-dieting pilates-five-days-a-week type.

She sure talked about it a lot for someone who didn't give a shit. (and FWIW, I like her better as a zaftig brunette). I don't know if there's anyone, woman or man, who deep down 'dosen't give a shit' about how they look or how others think of them. We just have differing legnths we're willing to go to is all.
It's one of my guilty pleasures, sisterhavana - I check it a couple of times a day. You too? I love the comments - everyone there is always so pissed off and jaded about everything...I love it ;)
I've had a crush on Janeane Garofalo ever since I first saw her on the Ben Stiller Show. Like Jon, I think she looked much better in her more zaftig days (she was never fat), but I also know from her own admission that she's always had body image issues, and that vying for acting jobs in Hollywood has only heightened her insecurities.
I still dig her, though, and love to listen to her railing against the administration. She's got the fire in her.
I think this is what she looks like now. The thing that throws me in the blonde pictures is that the shape of her jaw looks so different. I always picture her having a rounder head than that.
She'll be doing a lot of publicity for Ratatouille I would imagine, so I'm sure if you look for coverage of that you will see what she looks like now. I always kind of liked her. I love her part in Permanent Midnight (an otherwise so-so movie) where she plays this very odd Hollywood type.
It looks kinda like the CoS maybe got its claws into her.
Yeah, the rumor was that she got involved with Scientology through the alcoholism support group Narconon. I don't know if it's true or not, but that is the ostensible reason she quit the Air America show -- because her co-host Sam Seder objected to her inviting a representative from the group onto the show (while he was away on vacation) for a suspiciously cushy interview.
I saw her in person in the village a few years ago. She was walking some very big dogs. I didn't even realize it was her until way after she had walked by.
