Daisy, George's mom, who lives in the old farmhouse, was interviewed for the local news. Check out the video. The old guy with the beard is George's stepdad, Bernard. The dog is Rosie, who could not catch a fly, let alone a bear.

It's a very isolated area, the nearest road is almost half a mile away, so I can understand their concern. Daisy, as you will see from the video, is not a woman to be sentimental over animals.
