I first learned about this sketch while reading this article about George Meyer, long-time Simpsons writer and creator of the semi-legendary comic zine Army Man, excerpts from which can be found towards the bottom of this blog entry. (Be sure to read "THE ROYAL VISITOR" and "THE TRUE STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED TO ME" -- they are perfect little comic vignettes.)

pretty funny, I have a bunch of the SCTV dvds reminds me of that a little.

Amazing that they were able to keep it from getting stale for a whole 7 minutes. They just don't write'em like they used to.
