June meetups? I just tried and failed with the search function. I have the vaguest recollection of two June meetups, one around the 15th or so (in North Beach? at Eddie Rickenbackers?) and one around the 20th or so. Help me?

But yes, it's the 15th at Eddie Rickenbackers (I think that's definite) and the 20th at a place TBD.

And I'd be up for attempting North Beach on the 20th.

Not as far as I know.

I've never been to Rickenbackers, so I don't know if it makes sense just for drinks, or also for food? The reviews I'm finding seem to indicate that food's not very good, and also expensive, but I'm not finding all that many reviews, so .... no context, really.

And now I'm just typing for the sake of typing, aren't I?

I guess the question is whether people want to do an after-work type thing, or a later in the evening, post-dinner thing. Or a dinner thing.

Stopping with the typing now.

Since I'm driving back that night, I'd ask that it be not a too-late-starty thing.

I also would be disinclined to do a dinner thing, since dinner in large groups can get so incredibly complicated, what with the dizzying variety of garnishes and the bill-paying and all. But that's probably just me.

Since the whole thing is in honor of mullacc visiting, I feel like we should make sure we're taking his schedule into account... I'll email him and try to get him into this thread.

goml, the gaspode meet-up is the one on the 20th.

6pm at Rickenbackers works for me! I can go either way on the dinner or drinks thing.

The food at Rickenbacker's is edible -- fries and calamari and that sort of thing. I don't think it's particularly expensive.

Seems like we can just figure on people eating there if they want to, but not make it an official dinner thing?

(And yeah, I'm always a bit confused by what "expensive" means when written by tourists on travel review websites. Expensive for SF? Expensive for Omaha? Expensive because you're a college kid from Omaha? It's very confusing.)

When you say "meetups", do you mean "Bay Area meetups"? Because I'm having one in Phoenix and cortex is having one in MA next week. I will get to attend both!
