Someone has asked me (as admin of the Tiny Animals on Fingers group on Flickr) to make an invite code.
Do you mean through flickr? There's a page there that tells you how to invite contacts, non-contacts, and non-flickr members to your group....is that what you mean? If you go to your group, you'll see a link that says 'Invite' on it, which explains how to set it up. The person who asked may just mean they want you to compose the invite, is what I'm thinking...
Oh... she sees photos on blogs and stuff that she thinks would be good adds to your group, and wants to invite the people to flickr and to your group, huh? If no one else can help, I would just message her back with a 'What huh? I not knowed how you do thees!'
Maybe she just wants you to type out the wording and the https because she doesn't know how to do it herself. Or maybe I should just stop Speck-u-lating ;P
Look at the bottom of this page, Specklet. See where it says Here's something to copy and paste: - She wants you to do something like that, except instead of saying "as seen in" it would say something like "your photo would be perfect for our bitty aminuls on fingers group" or sumthin, and then a link to your group page.
Then you would post that code on the front page of your group so that anyone in your group could copy it any time they wanted if they spied a cool photo. I did it here.
So, how do I get the html to show so someone can copy and paste? In other words, I don't want it to do the link, I want it to be like the page you linked to where the persons shows the html AND an example of what it looks like.
Can you do a view source to see how the person I linked to did it? You have to replace all of the less than and greater than brackets with html entities - I can't even type them here, they turn into html - maddening!
