I hate shaving but don't want a beard. Can anyone recommend me a moderately-priced beard trimmer with a super-low setting? If you must jest, please make use of Aragorn or the like. References to Don Johnson will be considered mean-spirited and cruel ;-)
Mmmm... Aragorn's beard is a good beard.

I've got a beard.

My trimmer works pretty well too. Got it at Target, I think.
I use the attachment that is one step above the lowest setting (which is no attachment, pretty much giving you a 5 o clock shadow, I guess).

Unless I'm mistaken, it's this one.

Note: The fact that you can still clearly make out my former goatee in the pictures is not the fault of the trimmer, but due to the fact that I've had a goatee from 8th grade and only shaved my chin three times in my life. The hair grows differently there as a result. C'est la vie.

Oh and before anyone asks: I am SO kidding in the first two pictures. I do not normally present myself in that fashion. ;)

Is that some hot Edward Fortyhands action I see at the edge of the second pic?

I got some Norelco bugger from Target for $20 and it is great. I've not been clean-shaven in god knows how long. It gets close enough and only takes a couple of minutes.

CitrusFreak: You look like a hunk in those pictures, and a bit menacing in the first one;)

And, um, your girlfriend (?) looks really hot!

PS. I used to have a beard, but there's this space on my cheek where it doesn't grow so it looks kind of awkward in a way. I do grow goatees from time to time, but ever since I started working even that's been thrown out the window. Now, I shave once a week, which is my limit, since if I shave more often than that, I start to bleed really bad. I guess I have sensitive skin.

Haaaaahaha I just rememebered I posted in this thread.

Matthew: Yes. Ugh. Edward 40hands. Stupid stupid stupid friends. haha

Hadjiboy: Hahaha thanks dude. I aim to please. And no, she's not my girlfriend. Just my friend who is a girl.

And I know what you mean about random spots not growing. I get like "Corner of my mouth, mustache, blank, beard" for some reason.

Try shaving right after you take a shower. That should help with the bleeding/sensitive skin issue.

Shave IN the shower! It's what I do, since I'm allergic to shaving creams and such. The constant flow of water is a great lubricant. It's very nice.
