Kevorkian's free. I can't imagine what it was like for him in there; everything from hearing about 9/11, to Bush's occupancy. 8 freaking years.
Wow, he's been locked up all this time? I'd completely forgotten about that guy.

Hell yeah. He was writing a book, which someone swiped while he was in the pokey, too.

My old piano teacher worked on an album with him. He actually plays jazz flute. From what I hear he's not bad. I'm wondering if he's been practicing over the last 8 years... It's a long time. I can't imagine either.

All I can say is that there are others who seem to have brought more harm to humanity & that I would prefer to see locked up.

why wouldn't he have been able to read the papers and watch the news? (You can in San Quentin, at least.)

he did more jail time than (insert name of your favorite scumbag who'll never ever do time ever) ever will

small_ruminant - sorry, I meant I wondered what it would have been like to learn about everything from within the confines of jail, especially those 2 things.

Well, they get TV and newspapers. The kind of place he was, anyway.

Same as the rest of us. Or are we still pretending we're free?

Seriously, I had no clue he was in jail. A damned shame. I hope he mounts a Punisher-esque vengeance spree where he "assisted suicides" all the judges and prosecutors who helped lock him away. Bonus points if he really makes them all look like suicides.

Kevorkian's experience of "isolation" from the world pales by comparison to this Polish guy's. I mean 19 freakin' years in a coma?

I gotta review my advanced directives...
