The "Hogzilla" story gets fishy [More:]Or fishier. Forced perspective?
150-acre fenced-in area? In that sized enclosure I'd think you'd have been able to hear that thing grunting pretty much anywhere.

I dunno, I looked at that pig without reading anything and thought, "Dear dog, he shot bigfoot!" Upon further reading I learned it was indeed a hog.

I had no idea that feral swine could grow THAT large. A slab of bacon (et al.) that size could easily mow over a fence and if inertia were on his side, I imagine he could have gotten away.

Still, I wouldn't put it past any of the adults involved to have somehow cornered this thing for the little boy to shoot.

I don't know much about hunting, but I thought the idea was that you kill the animal as quickly and cleanly as possible.

Spending three hours shooting it 8 times with some kind of wacky giant pistol instead of a rifle seems a bit unnecessarily cruel.

Andress said there is nothing illegal about a child hunting in Alabama.
I missed the "a" the first time and thought at last there was somewhere I could get some money for my kids.

TheophileEscargot, you know more about hunting than that boy and his father. Yes, one clean shot is the way to go. Get a bigger rifle dammit.

I was going to say, "Cool, let's have a child hunting!"
