Galiano meetup? As mentioned in these threads, there seems to be some interest in a meetup on my beloved island this summer. →[More:]I couldn't put everyone up, but with enough warning camping and other accommodations can be arranged. Here's some information about the island, including how to get here and what you can do while here. Who's in and when would be the best time?

What's it like in the fall? That's when i was hoping to do the Greece thing.

September's usually dry and warm. October gets colder and tends more toward wet, though when it's sunny, it's glorious. Not buggy at all at that time, either. I've got a wedding to attend Sept 15 that'll mean me gone for 2-4 days, but could be here any other time.

Oh...barter. Depends who you know and what you want. The wee grocery stores don't do it, nor do the pubs. For other stuff, it's usually open to discussion.

When i think of BC i think of pot and this book a friend gave me to read about a bunch of, i think, Swarthmore graduates who go homesteading there. Oh, and a few references in Northern Exposure.

July is definitely out for me - family reunion in Seattle,WA; meet-up in Portland, OR (although that's looking like it might not happen for me) and in-law reunion in Terrace, BC. But if July is bestest for everyone else, please don't let me stop you. I have no idea what's going on the rest of the year.
