Dallas/Ft. Worth Memorial Day MeCha/MeFi meetup? Hey Dallas/Ft. Worth bunnies, wanna hang out? →[More:] The dudester and I are planning on a little getaway in Dallas during Memorial Day weekend - we're hopeful that Wakefield will pitch against the Rangers on Saturday night, but otherwise our whole weekend is free. We can play bocce in a park somewhere, meet for drinks, or whatever.

(I'm posting this here first because I know there are some DFW peeps here I'd like to meet! If there's any interest, I'll post it over on Metatalk.)

Let me check my calendar (i.e., ask the wife what she has planned for me) for that weekend. If you're going to be in the Arlington area, there are any number of places to meet.

No, I'm not much into bocce ball.

Doohickie, we're actually staying in downtown Dallas, but we're up for driving anywhere. And we'll be in the Arlington area at least on Saturday night, after the game.

Damn. Holiday weekend means I'll be pulling 16 hour days. Otherwise I'd totally be down.

Bocce's awesome. Second in casual sports only to croquet. I love me some croquet.

Ack. Not lookin' too good for me either. I am going with the high school percussion section down to state finals for their ensemble. I told the band teacher I was available for that if he needed me and he hit me up yesterday. So I'll be Austion Friday-Saturday, and probably recuperating Sunday.
