Well, I closed an inflammatory thread in Metafilter BEFORE it pissed me off, and then I closed its sister thread in Metatalk before THAT one pissed me off. I notice that dozens of other users did not follow my lead. Also, I have a cold.

It was pretty decent, although I didn't get as much pool time as I would have liked (especially since I bought a new bathing suit at Target and I really wanted to play in it). Ah well.

Yeah, it's crazy. I kept hoping Brian B. would get more crazy, which I realize is a terrible impulse, just north of cockfighting, but he didn't really go 'round the twist. It was just another one of those times that I was unable to stop reading something that kind of repulsed me and stood for all that was cancer in MeFi. But at least I got out of that Scientology thread. That thing was even more nutso, with all the Sophomore Atheists patting themselves on the back for hating every religion more than anyone else.

I spent some time reading MeCha archives instead of following it, and was glad to see such a nice place...

Was there a TX meetup? I never followed through. After asking, I realized I was pretty booked up this past weekend. When you said you were only here for the weekend, I knew it just couldn't work out between us. :(
