Keeping abreast of ninety-four conversations at once on IRC is rather a learned skill. I cut my internet baby teeth on IRC chat at the tender age of thirteen... Ah, memories.

The trick is to not actually pay attention to most of it, and then respond to keywords with non-sequiturs you've been saving up for just the right moment.
