I went to Mount Gerizim, just above Nablus last night, to attend the Passover of the Samaritans. Amazing, terrifying and easily one of the coolest things I've seen in my life. When they hoisted up the lambs, the old man in the seat next to me literally passed out cold.

Despite being caught between three religions and two cultures that look down on them, the Samaritans are some of the friendliest people I've ever met.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures, if you're into that sort of thing. I'll probably blog about it later this week...after I get the smell of smoke and mutton fat out of my hair and clothes.

Wow. This probably deserves more of a response than that, but that's about all I can manage.
