I just went swimming! It was way fun! Now, how do I get better?
→[More:]My university has a lovely pool, that I get to use for free. I had been dithering about trying it, because I haven't been in the water for years and while I can easily keep myself from drowning, I don't "swim," per se.
But I had entirely too much fun, and managed to get myself back and forth down the lane for about 45 minutes (though a fair amount of that time was spent resting), and I'm feeling like this may be something I want to pursue. But despite swimming lessons when I was young and having a pool in our backyard when I was in high school, I never really learned the crawl, or anything resembling a real swimming technique.
Is this something I can learn from books? Videos? Websites? Or am I going to have to sign up for lessons?
