What did the note from Miko say?

The note from Miko said "We're going to find another bar," but doesn't say which bar or even which direction they were going...so other than going from bar to bar and shouting "Metafilter, where you at?" I don't know what to do!

Wow, we woke up from our nap at 5:30, I'm glad we didn't go down anyway! That sucks that it didn't happen though. Anybody in the mood to try something tomorrow?

Can't do tomorrow but we can try for next Saturday, or during the week.

I'd be down for something, but can we do it someplace more awesome. Like, maybe in Andersonville? How about a yummy dinner at Andies? There's lots of drinky places nearby too. I propose Wednesday at 7.

I am not sure if I can get to Andersonville by 7. I was hoping if we did a weeknight we could have it down in the Loop, but if not, I might just skip. :)

D'oh! Y'all should've gone to the Cicero Stadium for roller derby! It was an unbelievable game.

Well, now I don't feel so bad about missing the meetup for the Jaycee region meeting. I wanted to meet Miko!

Eamon: my downstairs neighbor, who's a competitive hula hooper, sometimes does the halftime show at the 'derby.

Anyway, would after 7 work?

I feel terrible about this, you guys. I of course don't know from any places and someone on MeFi suggested Monk's, so we ended up there. I didn't know it was closed on Sat., and of course I didn't even know anywhere else to go. I would have loved to go somewhere 'more awesome' -- or even 'more open' - but barring help from Chicagoans I don't know where that might be. :( Neither me or the MeFite I ended up hanging out with knew the area so we wandered around until we found a bar open in the theatre district. It was sorta far away for going back and leaving another note, plus we had waited until about 5:25 and nobody else had showed, so we figured we were probably it.

I'm still kicking around town this afternoon and evening but won't be around a computer. If anyone's looking at this thread, tell you what I'll do: post my cell # in my profile and if you guys get together, send me a text.

I'd rather not leave the general downtown/Loop/Near North area since I have to get back to Oak Park for bedtime.

By the way - Chicago is more than awesome. This is an amazing city!
