Three nasty songs from one of the nastiest bands ever.
And here I thought we were finally going to have a Three 6 Mafia discussion...

No?

Here, I'll start:

# of Academy Awards: Martin Scorcese - 1, Three 6 Mafia - 1. Is this sufficient proof of the existence of a jealous God, or is a better argument still required?

I think you're the nastiest song ever.

Actually I'm a sack of broken eggs, I always have an unmade bed...

I'm a cold Italian pizza, I could use a lemon squeezer...

Monkey Man is one of my all-time favorite songs.

it is Mick at his demonic best. There've been 40 years of pretenders, but still nobody can touch the Stones for sheer nastiness and sleaze.

(I also know that it's one of the Wino's faves, but he's the Keith to my Mick. Hugh Janus is Bill Wyman. Joe Famous is Charlie Watts.)

And speaking of Scorcese, he makes awesome use of that song in Goodfellas.

On our first date, I casually mentioned to mr. rossi that I loved the Rolling Stones and that Monkey Man was probably my favorite song by them. He asked me to marry him.

On preview: Can I be Anita Pallenberg or even Marianne Faithfull?

Hell, you can be Brian Jones or Mick Taylor if you want.

bmarkey: how'd you like to be Ian Stewart, or maybe Bobby Keys?

I was gonna hold out for Billy Preston, but either of those guys would be cool, too.

I was gonna hold out for Billy Preston,

How about Sam Cutler?

No way, man. I'm not taking the rap for hiring the Angels at Altamont.

That was Rock Scully from the Dead, dude.
posted by jonmc 27 April | 19:17
Cutler says he did it.

Accordig to Stanley Booth's book on the tourm it was on the advice of Rock Scully.

Hmmm. Either way, it was a bad idea. I'll stick with Preston, Keys or Stewart, thanks.

Ok, you're Bobby Keys. Go share some dope with the Wino.

My favorite Rolling Stones song at the moment is Fool to Cry. If anyone is interested in a MP3 I have it. For some reason Fool to Cry cracks me up, but it's a great song.

You know, I got a woman
And she lives in the poor part of town
And I go see her sometimes
And we make love, so fine
I put my head on her shoulder
She says, tell me all your troubles.
You know what she says? she says
Daddy you're a fool to cry
You're a fool to cry
And it makes me wonder why.

I used to like Lucky at Love when I was a kid. I recently watched the video on YouTube. It's a very bad video and not a very good song.
