I remember one Encyclopedia Brown book (and yes, I was one of those kids who read them all) where he busted some evil 7th-grade thug's bullshit story by picking it apart and pointing out to the evil 7th-grade thug that the story couldn't possibly be true because SQUIRRELS CANNOT SLOWLY BACK DOWN A TREE TRUNK, IDIOT!
