I wonder if I could have the same luck sending a fax to the lottery board telling them they forgot to send my twenty three million dollar check and I need it NOW. Hmmm...... If it works, first round is on me.

I am not at all surprised by this, except perhaps that this ruse has never before made the news. Criminals may be the dregs of society, but correctional officers are in the 3rd percentile of high school graduates.

Orange Swan, are you sure you're hard-up enough for a "correctional officer," even if it's the best-looking one? I've seen a few in restaurants in various places...imagine a really out-of-shape middle-aged former GI who looks and sounds like he'd beat women if he could find some that'd stay still long enough.
