Hagrid at the World Dock Pudding championship. So, for the last couple of years, I've gone to the World Dock Pudding championship in local Mytholmroyd. →[More:] It's a nice affair, pleasantly parochial and completely in tune with the slightly surreal air engendered by the Calder valley.

This year, as part of some "Aging comedian drives around in a strange vehicle tasting the local fares of strange corners of the country" programme, Robbie Coltrane "stopped by". A friend of mine showed him how to cook the stuff and he entered the competition. Here he is making a completely natural entrance.

Not that I'm spoiling too much, but he came second in the competition. And rumour has it that he cheated by adding Stilton cheese to the recipe.
