Song titles that contain a person's name. [More:]
I notice I have a lot of songs with a person's name in the title.

Bernadette by the Four Tops, Beth by Kiss, Jesse by Carly Simon, My Maria by B.W. Stevenson, and a few by The Beach Boys.

This would be a fun theme for Radio Mecha.

What are some others?
Jessie's Girl, of course. Jamie by Weezer. Bernie by Failure.

Yes, I love Take a Letter. I'm listening to Roxanne.

Get offa my lawn, you whippersnapper!

The list would probably be shorter if we listed names that weren't in song titles ;)

Carrie Ann. Donna. Jessica. Julia. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. Me and Bobbie McGee (female in Kris' original lyric).

So true iconomy. There are thousands I'm sure. I'm bored.

I probably know Michelle, but I can't think of the artist. Surely it's not My Michelle by Guns N' Roses. ;)

Ooh, ooh, and it might make a fun trivia-challenge kind of thing. I'll go first--I can't think of any songs that contain the name 'Jonathan.'

Michelle, ma belle, these are words that go together well...

There is endless list of songs with girls names. Back in the days of making mixes on cassettes I made 4 mixes of nothing but but songs with girl's names in the title (2 of them with just single word titles) and, for fair play, one of guys names.

I have a large list set aside of songs that namecheck famous people in their title and hope to get cracking on making a few mixes based around that theme. I really do need to take what I'm sure is only a few minutes to figure out the whole MeCa Radio thing - a namedroppers show could be quite fun.
