LOL, there's actually a "Rockbottom Street" in Vegas. Um... maybe not LOL. I'm pretty sure I've visited Rockbottom Street (tho' not in Vegas.) Have you?
Have I hit Rockbottom? Yeah, I guess I have. Rockbottom was the catalyst for me leaving my first husband. I had a four and one year old, I was working full-time, taking them to day care, picking them up, responsible for all bill paying, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, and laundry. My then husband lost his job (again) did not want to watch the kids, drank his way through the day, ate his way through the fridge. With only my income and two mortgages (we had to get a second for a new roof/siding or my insurance wouldn't cover us), and having previously filed bankruptcy, I knew we'd lose the house. And I suddenly realized I didn't care about the house, and I could not live like this anymore. I scrapped money together, found a tiny two bedroom apartment nearby, and moved out. It was hard, but not much different from before. I was still responsible for everything, but I had lots more food in the fridge!

Been there! Within six days, I filed for bankruptcy, filed for divorce and had heart surgery. I haven't worked since, and given all the student loans, I will probably never be in the black ever again.

On the plus side, I now live in Vegas (but nowhere near Rockbottom Street).

Rockbottom's not so bad. The rocks are all worn and smooth-like from the water. And sometimes there's seaweed.
