I got on Facebook for the first time today. And I can't get off. Help.
I signed up a few weeks ago but I don't really get the point. I put in my high-school and three colleges but no one I went to school with is registered. What else are you supposed to do with it?
I have found my nieces, my first love from high school, my stalker from college, and a number of the guys whom I have dated (well, what were the odds on that last one).
An 'ex' of mine added me on Facebook recently, and it sparked a flurry of e-mails and messages with friends from ages ago. Good stuff. But pace yourself. I've been getting in contact with no more than one person per day.
(Sorry for the serious comment. I'll go back to being an internet jerk directly.)
There's only one person from high school I want to get back into touch with, but he didn't respond when I sent him mail (he's in the phone book), so I guess I'm SOL. I like being unnoticed former classmates myself, so I shouldn't complain.
Lots of my college classmates show up on linked in (Law school, too, but I don't know any of them). I usually reconnect with them, but so far it hasn't yielded any great stories!
Facebook is primarily american (with all that highschool emphasis) so it wouldn't work for me. S:
However I hate that most of those sites now offer the posibility of sending spam to all your contact list when you register. I receive an invitation to one of those social sites almost every day from people I don't even know. :(
