Help me name this dog. [More:]Once before I turned to you kind people (I think it might have been in IRC) to name a dog and viachicago came up with the PERFECT name for Lulu. That time I found that I'd gone through all kinds of lists in my head and had come up with Lola but hadn't yet made the way to Lulu. I've gone through all the lists in my head this time as well and just feel like I'm missing an obvious connection to the name.

There are pictures here.

About the new dog: He is a super chill, goofy and happy dog. He weighs about 20lbs. He is a pug mix of some kind. I'm not sure what else is in there - I'm actually wondering if German Shepherd isn't in there because of some shading on his tail and back.

Last night at my mom's he got up on a cat's window perch and just stared out the window for a while.

Names I am currently considering:
Binky (Death's horse)
Kosmo
Lenny

I also considered various Harry Potter characters but none of them seemed right. (Will probably look up a list of Terry Pratchett characters later in the day.)

Just start throwing names at me. (New dog is a boy.)
Turk - short for turquoise...the color of his eyes in all of the shots ;)

Ifrit. Because calling a boy dog Pixie doesn't work.

Nicodemus.

Cochise.

Aloysius.

Barney.

Mephistopheles.

Bruiser.

Guderian. (That'd be better for a Rottweiler or maybe a Doberman, but I like the sound of the name "Guderian.")

Speedball.

Rockafella.

Rumplestiltskin.

Dances With Humans.

Garibaldi.

Canine Fun Unit.

Savonarola.

Prester John. (Once got acquainted with a macaw by that name.)

Alexander.

Xenophon.

Wally.

(that enough to get ya thinkin', fbk?)

His inner ears are a distinctive color in those pics.

I wanna say "Velvet" or "Lavvie" (short for lavender) but those ain't very masculine, eh? Umm, "King" maybe? Purple being a royal color.

EJ - I love the idea of naming some pet Pork Chop but it just doesn't fit this particular guy.

I always wanted to name a dog "Shark Attack". You think you could do that for me?

I always wanted to name a dog Potato, but he doesn't look like a Potato.

Frankie could work. I also like Rockafella, if he's got the chutzpah to pull that off.

I agree with Pips—immediately thought of Max too. (He's got kind of a Bowery Boy look, so Binky and Lenny work too.)
Sonny
Pinky
Otto
Ziggy
Peecee (for "porkchop")

Dr. anything. Or Admiral something. I like pets with impressive titles.

Sully, short for Sullivan.
Rocky, because I also liked Rockafella.
Max is also good.

Nuts. I actually liked PorkChop, but you know him best, so if it doesn't fit, so be it.

I vote for something that goes with Lulu, so I'm also voting for Franky, Rocky, Lenny. How about Joe or Joey, Bullet, Bruno, Jack, Rocco, Fredo, Butch?
