Makes sense. Wish more of that federal cash was going to support education and transportation. Oh well. ::sigh::

It's interesting, isn't it?

This leapt out at me: Foreign aid spending, though it raises the ire of many taxpayers, accounts for just half of one percent and is likely to be reduced by Congress even further.

I'm not sure how it is in NY, but in CA education and transportation are mostly state-funded. If state taxes were the only ones I had to pay, I'd be thrilled and hand over the money happily. They're tiny by comparison. It's the exorbitant federal taxes I can't stand, spent as they are on killing and interest.

I'd just be happy if I didn't have to pay both state AND city income taxes. Not looking forwad to writing that check!
